hmmm...so how was Saturday?

Tanya picked me up a little past 9 am. i bought a couple of those Gardenia Chocolate Buns for breakfast but ended up giving them away. picked up Aurea from school, and since My was having their play that morning, i left the buns for her and for Misssy. Tanya's driver took the wrong route so we got stuck somewhere along Edsa-Kamias for quite a while. we got lost around Makati and reached the coliseum a little past 11. had problems with getting tickets, but we ended up sitting on this table at the farthest end. not bad...considering it was packed...and i mean packed!

there were 16 schools...and you could just imagine how crowded it was! around half were new in the competition, and were mostly from public schools. we were 7th to perform. School of St. Anthony was 11th, St. Mary's College came after them, and School of the Holy Spirit came last. those were three of the schools that were with us in the finals a couple of years back.

St. Anthony was champion last year (oooh...they say they got first place coz there weren't any other "good" schools who joined. hehehee ;p). and their performance this time? it was sooo good. well, they presented something "new"...and they were really synchronized. ang galing nilaaa!!! Holy Spirit was good as well. they had their audience join the cheer...with actions and all. AND they were seated some place where the judges could see them directly. sigh...we were behind the judges. so much for audience impact. St. Mary's performance was OkAy.

ours? hmmm...it was good. if only they did something about their pyramids! i think i saw three fall down. arrrk. and i didn't see any that went up. arrrrkk. and, unlike the three big schools, they were not able to recover from any of the stunts that went bad. sigh. it was kinda frustrating. but everything else was good. they had a nice routine...and the Boosters were good...and i mean good. thanks to Angela and Maisa.

i was surprised when the host said they were getting the top 3 schools for the finals. i knew i read somewhere that they're getting the top 4. after the 7th (our) performance, i was worried. St. Anthony, St. Mary's, Holy Spirit...damn...3 schools!!! what if they make it to the top 3?!? ackkkkk!!! somewhere before Holy Spirit's performance, the host said he made a mistake...they were getting the top 4!!! wohoooo!!! such a relief. i guess i was losing hope after seeing St. Anthony's and St. Mary's performances. and true enough, we ended up getting the fourth place. St. Anthony came first (they were so good!), Holy Spirit second, then St. Mary's third. i think we could have made it to the second, or at least to the third, if those pyramids went well. sigh. i'm, not so sure how the pepsquad reacted.

but hey, we still made it to the finals!!! a couple of years ago, Poveda and Holy Spirit got the first and second slots in the division 1 elims...we came third. add Assumption, La Salle Zobel, and other schools from the other divisions, and you end up with a REALLY packed Araneta Coliseum for the finals. but who cares if you were third placers? who cares if they place the third placers at the General Admissions Area? we won. i think that performance in the finals was a really really really great performance of a cheering squad! it was hands-down for them. they deserved it. Holy Spirit and Poveda won 2nd and 3rd respectively.

yesterday after the competition, i heard schoolmates say "history shall repeat itself"...hmmm...talaga lang ha. i hope we do good in the finals. it's back to zero now. 4th place isn't 4th place anymore. arrrk....fingers crossed!!!

Tanya, Aurea and I headed to Powerplant after. Tanya wanted to go to Greenbelt, but i insisted on Powerplant. ;p oh, on the way there, i had a realization...Makati isn't as nice as i thought it was. erk erk. ;) and i was almost almost tempted to stop at North Park and eat there instead. we were starving!!! no lunch for us since we couldn't get through the crowd at the event. we ended up eating at Tokyo Tokyo. i was suggesting Dulcinea...but i guess they didn't feel like it. after dinner, we went around the mall for a while...and everytime we saw something we wanted to buy: "sana kasama ko mommy ko" ...eeeek! bad bad. ;p

i got home dead tired. but i had so much fun!!!

glee club won as well. they made it to the finals too! weeeeeee!!!

we had a group practice for Music class today...on a Sunday!!! when we were done, Tanya and I stayed at McDonalds, almost almost tempted to go to MetroEast, or Galleria, or Shangri-la, or Powerplant. we ended up walking along Katipunan the whole afternoon. fun fun!!

i'm hungry!!! somebody give me foooooooood!!!
