since i'm stuck at home, i end up blogging..
went to the Freshmen Orientation Program last Wednesday. since i wasn't able to join my HS classmates last Monday, i went there alone (but met up with Chubby after). hmmm...it's probably not as big as the Orientation Seminar in Ateneo...but it was worth attending, nonetheless. it was hosted by a guy from B.A., a girl from MassComm, and another guy from Home Economics. errr, the guys were not GUYS
pala. heeee :) i found their jokes too corny at first...but i eventually caught myself laughing
na rin. they showed us this video presentation which was done by a film student 6 years ago for his thesis. he's now a professor at the College of Mass Communications, and he was the voice behind that Meteor Garden guy. yeah, yeah...he's the one. eeek. i got to check online if my Film 10 is under him....i'm safe! hahaa! anyway...the film was entitled "Mabuhay Ka, Iskolar ng Bayan." ...the same thing that was stamped in BIG letters on the short brown envelope they gave us. eeeek.
the video mentioned something about UP's own radio station... DZUP 1602. i knew about that before, but i never got to check it out. [she] used to tell me that back when [she] was taking BroadComm in UP, she would go on-board with [her] best friend. [she] eventually landed a job at this radio station in makati...then moved to another after a couple of years. been a month since i last checked on her show.
we got to watch a couple of dance numbers during the orientation program. makes me miss Ms. April Gonzales(-Toledo). sigh.
of course they mentioned about the Oblation Run. hmmm...do i go? we'll see. ;p
the pep squad taught us the school song, as well as few cheers that are used for inter-school competitions. i know the Miriam song by heart...i should start learning the UP Naming Mahal now. ;p
Chubby and i didn't get to join the Campus Tour since the shuttle was already full. erk. had tito noel pick me up in front of school of Economics.
there's a welcome assembly on June 7 for freshies. good thing College of Science is scheduled in the afternoon...my Monday classes end at 1pm.
still looking for Eric Tagg's Never Too Far on the net. can't find. it's one of the songs i got to hear on [her] Saturday (or was it Sunday) shows before. i can't remember the lyrics...and i can't remember how the song goes. maybe i'll just get that Joey album.
oh, ended up going to The Podium with tito noel, jenica, and inday Wednesday night. had crepe at Cafe Breton. met up with liz to get 3 big bags of her stuff. my arte mommmii....hehehe.
*thank you.
went to the dentist yesterday. grrrrr....ouch! and crazy dentist did not tell me that she was twisting a wire instead of placing a rubber thingie on one of the front brackets. now i have orange rubber thingies for all of the brackets except for that one in front. grrrrr! doesn't look nice!
had North Park for dinner last night. first time i enjoyed my Almond Jelly with Mangoes since i wasn't so full cos of my friggin braces.
my brother is employed now. well, not really....still training for a while...then we'll see. i hope he gets the job.
stepping stone na yun. i can see him working for Warner Brothers in the future. bwahahahaaa! :) his training also means i have no competition with the telephone line! heeeeeee ;p
since i was stuck at home today, i ended up eating the junk i bought for the Zambales trip. i spent the afternoon eating a pack of Star Fruits...finishing the red ones first before eating the yellow and the orange candies. in this house, if you see an opened pack of Star Fruits, expect that the red ones are all gone.
i need to go out. i need to go out.
