I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO BE BLOGGING RIGHT NOW because:
1. for the third night in a row, i'm sleeping really late! 2 nights ago i was online til 12:30. last night, i got home at midnight. and now, i'm in front of the pc as soon as i got home at 1:30am. tsk. and i've been having a TERRBILE headache!
2. i am hungry! and if i don't go to sleep now, i'd be forced to eat! not that i don't want to eat. i'm just tooo lazy (sheeesh!) to go get something.
3. my mom might wake up in the middle of the night. i shall be dead if she sees me online. of course consider the fact that i got in at 1:30.
but i figured that if i don't type this down, the "moment" will be gone. bwahahaha! joke!
last night (thursday) was supposed to be Session Road night. we went to check Xaymaca. the band hasn't started yet, so we decided to get some coffee from Seattle's. tsk....sinabi ko na na ban and Seattle's and any other coffee shops until i get my planner! hehehe. anyway. back to Xaymaca at 11:30 just in time for Session Road's first song. but then Xaymaca was packed. add the fact that it was a school night for me. so what happened? we went home. bummer. but we went to 70's Bistro last Monday to watch them!!! stayed til midnight! they were good! plus there weren't too many people since it was a monday holiday. ang sayaaaaa!!! an hour and a half of session road. weeeeeeee :)
set my alarm for 5:30 am to catch the band on MUB. first feature was around 6:30 where they sang Lullaby and Cool Off. i had to leave at 8 so i don't know if they sang more songs.
got to my English class at 8:20 and my teacher was already there! i was not late. she was just early! hehehe :) grabbed the Econ notes from Rocky and rushed inside the classroom. English was fun. :)
went home at 10am to get some sleep....but, erk, i ended up in front of the pc. i need sleep!!!!!! left the house at 1 to get a sandwich from Le Cour and Iced Peppermint Mocha from Bucks. then rushed to the Math building to cram my 3-item homework. tsk. i was supposed to cut Math since Tanya's 1-2:30 class was cancelled and we could have actually gone to the MCHS fair already. but yeah, being the nerdy me (sheeesh....half lie), i decided to attend class. Chubby was nice enough to drive us to Miriam around 3. and oh, Tanya cut her 4pm PE - running class! *evil grin* :P
the first person who welcomed us was Ms Boots: "so you're just mere spectators now." tugggsh. after 2 years wearing an all-access id, we were paying the p30 entrance fee! tsk.
Tanya and i checked the whole place, met up with our SCmates (Christine, Moppet, Anna, Kamae, and Kiara) who were still working for yet another fair. then Tanya and i decided to stay put and just wait for our other SCmates (the college girls: Jen, Faive and Tish. and of course Ms. Wada, our moderator). hah! Jen and Ms. Wada came at 5:40! and the fair was going to close at 6! tsk tsk. we just stayed inside the Business Committee headquarters (i missed it!), talked, played chinese jackstones, laughed, "slapped" each other, laughed some more, talked some more, and took lotsa pictures! it took us forever to decide if we were going to watch the variety show (which was at 7) or not.
and i do not regret that we decided to stay! not at all.
it meant more time with them. i just wished we were complete. i wish Tish and Faiva were there :(
but it was fun nonetheless. from teasing ms. wada to her faculty admirers, to actually shouting our lungs out for the bands.
Missy hosted the event...and she was good! seriously. ang galing ng segues nya! she was perfect for the event. :)
Out of the Box -wowww....they'd go far! ang galing! beatbox! i think they are composed of 6 guys and a girl. the people loved them that they asked for encore!
boy elroy -too rocky. hehehe :)
ciudad - Tanya and i were still worrying about transpo going home by the time they performed so we didn't get to watch that much.
sponge cola - WOW! it was the band everyone was waiting for!!! grabe, sikat na sikat na sila. before, they would play at the variety show and the only song i knew from them was their version of "Crazy for You" ...and i thought not many people knew them. now they are BIG stars! and they're really good too! and guess what? the audience can't take pictures of them. hah! but what can they do? the crowd loved them! they even asked for the bottle and the bottle cap of Yael Yuzon. :) maybe i'll be a Sponge groupie. heheheh :P
17:28 - the hunks. hehehe. although i think it would have been nice if they came first....when the place was still packed. and oh! TANYA, THE FORMER SC PRESIDENT, was crazy enough to ask for my umbrella and open it while they were singing "Sukob Na" .....tsk tsk....i had to move away from her. hehehe :) crazy :P
imago - my first encounter with Aia, the lead singer, was when she was sessioning for Fatal Posporos during our soph night. then i'd hear her on radio too. i never really got to hear them play although i know some people who are Imago lovers. they were okay. :)
itchyworms - one of the bands i was waiting for. i wish Carmella was with us. they played "Antipara" "Beer" and another song i can't remember! they were great! :)
cambio - another great band!!! wow! i got to watch them last time i was in Eastwood...but i got to appreciate them more last night. i know Carmella mentioned before that the lead singer was from Miriam HS but i couldn't really remember. the girl confirmed it last night....batch 1989 i think. nice! :) the band was great!!!
sugarfree -Tanya and i actually stayed for this band. ang galeng!!! this guy from Parokya was sessioning for them too. they were playing their third song, Sinta, when we left. i bet they played a couple more songs after that. it was past 1am and the crowd was still groovy. i mean, they were probably 40-50 of them left but they were those who really appreciate their kind of music!
there was this one time when Missy was introducing this guy from "Out of the Box" to one of the yellow batch girls...and when he left, the girl started screaming...kilig....but the guy was just standing at the back! as in he saw the screaming and all! hahaha! i kept laughing and told tanya what just happened! and Missy saw us and introduced us to the same guy. laugh trip! hahaha!!! :)
so guess how much i enjoyed the night? so much!!!!!!!
saw Ms. Wada and Jenica again. and as Tanya said, ang saya kasi parang walang gap...parang kakakita lang namin sa isa't isa when the last time we saw each other was probably months ago. :)
i got to appreciate Rock music! really. wow. i was never a rocker, and last night made me want to buy myself new cd's.... itchy, cambio, sugarfree, sponge cola etc
saw the SCmates who are yet to leave MCHS. i missed them too! it's fun seeing them work for the fair.
Tanya and i actually enjoyed the fair! maybe because it was our first fair (after 2 years for me, and 4 years for Tanya) that we weren't working. :)
ang saya! :) we were supposed to go for the last day of the fair....but really need to catch some sleep. won't be going to Saturday night's event as well....wala nang Session Road e! erg. but there's Sandwich, Marc Abaya's band, etc... :)
i wanna go to Mega at 4pm to catch Session Road. pero asa pa ko! hay. somebody come with me! hehehe :) groupie! :) at kahit ang ganda nung bands during the variety show, Session Road pa rin ako. hehehehe :P their video has been out for 3 days now....at hindi ko pa napapanood. erg.
pictures to come! :)
