i realized i haven't really made an assessment of the first semester. hmmmm. i was waiting for all my class cards.

it was a happy semester, i guess. :)

adjustment
i had to adjust by myself during the first week. i wanted to get familiarized with the UP system by myself. by the second week, we got to take note of each other's schedules already. so thanks to the girls, adjusting wasn't that bad. we had the tambay days at the AS 101 before they actually started renovating it. then we moved to the AS lobby where much of the poeple-watching was done. :P then we became "clique-ish" (as celeni would say it) and started hanging out at the AS steps. there was the usual tuesday/friday lunch-out with Chubby driving for us....then the boys started joining us for the weekly lunch. it was always a debate on where to eat....and they tell me that i always end up deciding anyway. bully. not!!! tsk.

classes
Math17 (M. Gonzales) - i don't want to consider it as hard because it was just fourth year math. add the fact that my friends got a 1.25's for that class. i slacked off. i hated waking up at 7am! my teacher was confusing. my classmates were irritating since they were a bunch of kids from computer science, and there were just 3 of us from Applied Physics. i crammed for exams. i refused to review and answer sample exams. so what did i get? hah! a not so good grade. i expected it, though my target was a grade higher. but all is good. not! hehehe :) it's just __.__ x 5 (units).
English 11 (M. Laurel) - this was probably my hatest class for the semester. i thought i'd love the class since i was informed that my teacher was one of the best in the campus. really, she is. i just didn't enjoy the class that much. then there was this group of girls who are all taking up Comparative Literature, and they're basically the only ones who participate in class discussion. i was expecting a lowwwwww grade for that class. i never concentrated in analyzing the poems...never read the short stories in advance...didn't participate that much in class and group discussions...crammed 2 important papers...and didn't finish reading the required novel. hah! i would have been happy enough with a 2.5. but i got a 1.5...so yey! that's English 11 (literature)...i could have gotten an uno IF i worked hard. hahaha. but i'm happy. yey!
Film 10 (J. Velasco) - although part of me wished i took Film 12 instead, this class was still fun. it was interactive...all we did was discuss about films and films and films. hahaha. then we got to shoot our own film in the end. i love the class! but, yeah, take Film 12! :P
Physics 10 (J. Bantang, etc) - it wasn't the usual physics class. we never had to compute for velocity and all. but i never expected it to be sorta like a history class with a touch of alien topics about astronomy. eeeeek. there were a lot of boring lecture days because of those alien topics. but it was fun, nontheless. we had a total of 7 instructors for that class...kanya kanyang expertise. for a person who crammed for all 3 exams, 1.25 is more than enough. yeyyy!
Sociology 10 (J. Dionisio) - i think i'd consider this as my favorite class for the sem. i love my classmates, and my teacher was nice too. discussion was most of the time interesting. and i got a good grade! the only thing i hated about it was the fact that it was 4-5:30pm...and my class before that was at 11:30-1:00!
Duckpin Bowling (A. Juliano--who was always absent:P) - i love duckpin bowling! :) mainly because it's a p.e. that wont make you feel icky and tired after the class. laro lang nang laro! i didn't really get a good grade from that class because i had classmates who were really good in hitting the pins, but i'm happy with it. easy p.e.! yeyyy!

i think this is where admu students get an edge. blocks exist but are not that active. i myself did not bother to find out who my blockmates are. and since i decided not to join an org during the first semester, my circle of friends remained the same. but of course there were newfound friends from my classes.... April (Holy Spirit - Malolos Bulacan) and Leslie (Batangas) from my Math class... the "english cuties" (according to Arlyn), Angela and Arlyn (both from Assumption Antipolo)... Jenny (Holy Spirit - Malolos Bulacan) and Kryska (UP Baguio) from Film class... Julie (Assumption Antipolo), Stephen (Don Bosco Makati), Michael (Cavite), and Lea (QCSHS) from Sociology class... all 10 girls from my bowling group... our lunchmates, Rocky and Trevor... etc.... :)

so there....goodbye to this schedule....

goodbye to 3-hour breaks and 7am/4pm classes!

i'm still not done with enrollment, so registration kwento would be for the next post.

Wednesday lunch was at Chocolate Kiss with Celeni and Tanya. dinner was take-out Jap food!
Thursday lunch was at Chocolate Kiss AGAIN with tito noel.
Friday lunch was at Tokyo Tokyo since we were at the mall. then Chubby was nice enough to come with me to Chocolate Kiss...i wanted to have some Chocolate Chip cheesecake since i didn't really get to enjoy it during the wednesday lunch because i was already too full!
today's lunch was at Serye.
sobrang pig-out na!!! yuck!!!

saw My last night. i was getting off our car to buy a latte from Starbucks...she was getting in her car from Shakeys...

Gilmore Girls season 4 starts tonight! yey!!! but i think mom wants to go to Powerplant. bukas na lang!!! erg.

oh, funny thing on my way home last night....i received a text message from my aunt asking me if i could think of a slogan about math. she needed it because she was tutoring this kid...and it's probably a homework or something like that. so i replied with "for what grade? ang hirap mag-isip!!! Math is 1, 2, 3...the language for you and me! ngek." ....loser, sobra!!!! i was thinking of a better one when my aunt replied telling me that the first one was fine...and that it was for a first grader. eeeeeeeeek.
